The team will resume coaching sessions with Geoff and Steve next Wednesday, 30th,July. A full turn out is expected, as the players require briefing re duties for Hot Shot Soccer and the club fete. Please report to clubrooms at 6.00p.m.

The boys enjoyed their first coaching session of the new season on Wednesday evening. All players are reminded that next Wednesday at 6.00p.m. prior to coaching, they will be involved in the Hot Shot Soccer Shootout. It will be necessary to bring along their sponsorship forms

The whites kick off the new season with an away league cup fixture against Oakbank. On Tuesday they are on their travels again when they meet Gannochy in a league match. In both instances arrangements are not completed and Geoff will advise accordingly.

Not the best of starts for the new season with defeats from Oakbank and Gannochy. This Sunday they entertain Bridge of Earn and players should report to Seven Acres at 11.45p.m.for a 12.30 kick off. This is followed next Tuesday evening with a home match against Auchterarder Primrose

The team were undaunted following last Sunday’s heavy defeat and on Tuesday evening showed flair and style when they overcame Auchterarder Primrose at home. There is no fixture this weekend but Steve will advise with regard to coaching arrangements.

In midweek the team gained their first points with a convincing win over Auchterarder Primrose. With a free day last week the team can look forward to a return game when they visit Auchterarder on Sunday to play the local Primrose. Geoff will advise arrangements. The team completed a winning double over Auchterarder Primrose last Sunday. This week the team welcome Montrose to Seven Acres in the Scottish Cup. Match arrangements are not finalised, so players contact Geoff on 01738

Last week the teams interest in the Scottish Cup lasted nearly half an hour when they held the strong going visitors. However as soon as they lost the opening goal their defence crumbled and Montrose won at a canter. This week they entertain Athletico Blair. Final arrangements are not yet to hand. Despite the heavy defeat the team played very well last week against Athletico Blair. This week they entertain Gannochy. Players meet at 11.30a.m.

The team did not have the best of luck against Gannochy last weekend. This week they are on their travels to play Athletico Blair. Players meet clubhouse at 1.00p.m. As the under 15’s also visit the same venue a pooling of transport would be a great assistance.

Whilst the team were again on the receiving end of a big defeat at Blairgowrie, there are definite signs of improvement and are responding to their coaches by trying to play constructive football. This was the case in the first half when they turned round only with a 2-goal deficit. This week they have a home game against Oakbank and players are requested to report to Seven Acres at 11.15. Norrie will be in charge on Sunday as Geoff is away on business.

The improvement continues despite the defeat last week against Oakbank. The team can take heart in the manner they led on two occasions with well-executed goals. This week they also travel to play Gannochy. Final details are not yet to hand. Players please note that indoor coaching commences next Wednesday evening at 6.00p.m.in Perth High School.

Last week Oakbank were the visitors to Seven Acres. This week Auchterarder Primrose are welcomed to Letham for a league game. With a late kick off players are requested to meet at clubhouse at 1.30p.m.

The game on Sunday against Auchterarder did not materialise. In order not to miss out arrangements are being made to reschedule the fixture. This Sunday the whites travel to Kintillo. There is no report to hand for their game last week at Kintillo. On Sunday much prestige is at stake when they have a challenge from the tangerine team in a league encounter at Seven Acres. Players meet clubhouse at 1.30p.m.

The Whites were playing well until just before the interval when a defensive lapse allowed the Tangerines to easily open the scoring. After the break their clubmates proved to be the much stronger team and ran out comfortable winners. To their credit however they did score an excellent albeit consolation goal after a bout of sustained pressure. On Monday evening the team travelled to Auchterarder to play off an outstanding fixture. Despite trailing at one stage they came storming back to finish deserved winners by nine goals to four. This Sunday the team are back on their travels to Auchterarder again to play Langtoun. Players meet Seven Acres at 1.00p.m. The club would appreciate assistance from parents and supporters with regard to transport to the venue.

Scone were far too strong for this young Letham side. However moral would have improved if a penalty kick awarded early in the game had been converted. Geoff’s young team fought well on Sunday and the signs looked good when they gained an equaliser to make the score 4-4. However, the lads ran out of steam and the home team ran out winners. This week it is off to Kinross to play Fossoway Star in the quarter final of the K B Challenge Cup. Match arrangements will be advised.

Last week was not the best of weeks for Geoff’s young team and due to school holidays etc were unable to field a full strength squad. There is no fixture on Sunday as the team played their last game of the season on Wednesday night.

The team have completed their fixtures for the season. Last week saw a busy schedule bring the season to a close. An early strike from Owen Thomson saw the Tangerines take the lead in a home league fixture against Gannochy, but the visitors equalised and there was no more scoring. Oakbank were the final visitors to Seven Acres and despite the home team having the bulk of the play, the visitors snatched the only goal to leave with all three points. On Sunday the team played in the final of the K.B. Challenge Cup. Despite leaving with runners up medals the boys acquitted themselves well and enjoyed the experience of the whole day. Many thanks to all the supporters who came along and supported the team not only on Sunday but also for all other games during the season. Advice as to end of season presentation will be announced shortly.
